8th Annual NEW PROVIDENCE STREET FAIR

New Providence, Settled in 1720 and established in 1899, is a mature and diverse suburban community located 28 miles due southwest of New York City. New Providence’s downtown area, ideal geographic location, highly rated public schools, diverse transportation access, and active community has made New Providence one of the first choices for many moving to New Jersey.

Today, New Providence is a centrally located town in a wealthy, prestigious area of Union County. It’s a quaint community of historic residences surrounded by Summit and Berkeley Heights. The City of New Providence hosts a population of 12,000 were the average median household income in the area more than $105,000. New Providence is mostly a residential community consisting of owner occupied, single- family dwellings, with garden apartments and condominiums. A majority of New Providence’s residents hold professional, managerial or other executive positions in their business or industry with an above average salary.

Our festival takes place in downtown New Providence and features New Providence Stores, Professional Services, crafts, food, some retail merchandise musical entertainment and children’s activities. The New Providence Street Fair is truly a community event.

The New Providence Street Fair is actively promoted in New Providence as well as the wealthy bordering towns of Summit, Berkeley Heights and Millburn/Short Hills. Join us for another terrific day fun and profits! The New Providence Chamber of Commerce, the Suburban Chambers of Commerce and The Advertising Alliance, Inc. invite you to sell on September 23, 2007 (Rain Date 9/30/07) at the New Providence Street Fair. Traffic will be detoured for the day.

New Providence is serviced by many major roadways:

Route 24, I-78, NJ Turnpike Exit 14, Garden State Parkway (I78 Exit).
